just rebuilt the head on my engine and its got a bit of white smoke coming out the exhaust and it still puts a bit off blue smoke out when you first start it from cold. anyone any ideas. i ground all the valves in and replaced the seals.

mte just b condensation in ur exhaust m8, i rebuilt my nova 1.4 engine and that was the same 4 a while then it didnt smoke at all.

yeah could be i aint gettin any other probs other than that. just rang mspd they said could be my valve guides and to change them for bronze ones and to skim the head its 130 quid. i will run it for a while to see if it clears itself.

the blue smoke on start up has stopped it still puts abit of white smoke out when its cold , its just the idle thats annoying me its like a small misfire. its been there before i did the rebuild. ive put redex in but still there any ideas.

the rough ideling could just be a coinsidence. check plugs and leads.

loose earth somewhere, causing misfire??
