The story goes that back in 98 our neighbour bought the car (from new) for his 2 daughters to learn in. So my mum bought the car for me for a tidy sum of £950 subject to it passing its mot, it did needing no major repairs.
However when we got the log book it turns out some other owner had his name on the logbook so we were the 3rd owners, but hey doesnt matter too much does it.
The car sat on our driveway having been insured by my mum for £12 a month and in january when i was 17 i was insured for £1005 and passed my test on feb 16th.
I started collecting bits to subtley mod the car. however i bought a bad boy bonnet with vents from drax. now i am not so fond of it and want 2 get rid
however i also bought from drax a badgeless grill which i have now fitted
the observant ones will also notice i got crystal headlights.
whilst debadging the fornt i thought i may as well do the rear so that currently stands rather nice
and the pile in the corner of the garage of unfitted mods currently looks like this....
gmax 40mm drop
cavalier fanblades for £40 with no tyres but i got rubber round most of them now but as you can see they need a bit of cleaning

just picked up my 'blades' from tom who has refurbed them for me
hes done a fantastic job and i will hopefully be taking them into the powdercoaters on monday to get pd coated black.
I also ordered some toyo t1-r proxes for them, and dont rant on about how shit they are i will wait and see.
and on tuesday im getting my post 97 front and rear smoothed and colourcoded along with the arches, so looking forward to that when its finished.
and i finally got round to fitting the suspension and the car now sits like this
(bad pic)

progress has been coming along nicely with my wheels, dropped them off and they have been sblasted and powdercoated and they have done a really good job on them, i had my doubts with them after ed got mucked about a bit but theyve come up trumps with these ones (Spray Blast 01494530854)
also won some badges on ebay which are silver and black and are a bit smaller than the original ones, i think they look pretty yummy
atm however i am driving around in a bit of a shitter, tomnova16 has my bumpers which he is working on for me, i am going to collect later tonight and then post up some pics maybe tomorrow or friday. anyway pre97 plastic and tape due to the mounting clips being broken off
