when the inevitable happens and we lose to Derby.

Not really bothered anymore tbh, I accepted our fate some time ago, so it's sunk in.

Blackwell is on the money with this comment though:

"If you didn't know any better, you'd think someone deliberately tried to mess the club up," said Blackwell in The Sun.

"I have every sympathy with the fans.

"The management has been terrible and questions should be asked."

Cheers Newell you cunt.

When was the last time you won something? Don't be fooled by attendances. Thats not representative of club size.

1981 finished 5th in the Premier League 4 seasons ago and beat Inter Milan 1-0 in the Uefa Cup.

When was the last time you were in the top league?

My point being don't pigeon hole us as a small club because of our image. We used to be good ya know

Top league was 1 season prior to the Premier League.

No doubt you're bigger than us, that wasn't really my angle.

Burnley haven't been in the top league for a number of years but they are a bigger club than Watford. I'm with Nath on this one Barnsley were in the top league yet are a smaller club than Forest etc.

Exactly. I consider Burnley to be a big club, they are underachieving IMO.

Wigan, Reading, Blackburn, Fulham, Watford.... all top flight. None are big clubs.

Agreed. Could argue Oxford are bigger than most league 1 clubs too. Lots of history in 2nd flight, big crowds for their division.

Even a draw will send us down Only a win at Pride Park ( yeah right) will keep our tiny hopes of staying up alive.

welcome to league one Luton
I don't really know much about luton to be quite frank, but why didn't they sack newell earlier? Instead of leaving it relatively near to the end of the season (well sort of) that way if theyd done it earlier it would have been damage limitation of sorts. Just interested by the way.

Yeah Newell was acked, they definately shouldve done it in January so Blackwell wouldve had some sort of chance. But as it happens it was too late and we are all but down.

I've been to Adams Park 4 times, would be rude not to as I only live in MK. Nice stadium

the attendance issue is due to the lack of funds for the new ground, i believe luton would have no trouble in pulling 20,000 thousand fans with a new ground.
its sad to see whats happened and summat does not look right, why would all the best players be sold and no money reinvested in replacements.
with blackweel in charge thou and a new chairman iam sure it wont be long nath before you grace the championship again.

so long luton town, i wish you luck as i wave you goodbye

very ammicable reply shawboy,cheers.

I thought luton played some good football at times,i know its too late in the season but hopefully its a sign of things to come in the future.

the goal was lucky but derby should of had a penalty with howard and coyne tussling away.

Roll on next season !!
