I still think 16k is alot for a corsa. Id maybe wait see how used prices fair if I wanted one. You can get 06 Astra VXR's from 15k, one of those might be a better buy!!

I driven both, Corsa handles its power better, and handles better on the whole than the Astra, hasn't got the torque of the Astra though.

Yeah what he said! I've driven both also and definitely agree the corsa handles the best out of the two. Prefer the vxr corsa looks wise, but think that's mainly because I just am not a fan of the new astra looks wise at all.

another glowing review from someone thats actually drive it. Like someone said though 16k when you can get a used astra vxr for 15k puts it into perspective for me.

wonder if it will be 9k in 3 years?

I can still get discounmt through my work inbetween 10-20%

Corsa VXR with 18" wheels is £16010...

What prices are other cars of similar spec / speed / size
clio?
Fiesta ST?

The 16k wouldn't put me off at all if I loved it.

All day for an Astra over the Corsa...

Mainly for the fact I am nearly 25 now and would like a more "grown up" car...a bigger car...more toys etc...

still doesnt have a grown up image, people will still think its just a corsa regardless of how good it is, and 16k will put people off

i know it wont seem like that on here, but dur, its a corsa website so people are going to like it. Look around on most forums and people are saying its still a corsa, 16k blah blah

I just hope too many people don't fettle with the car, as I'm sure it's great as it is. . .apart from the breaks.

All I mean is that when I come to be able to afford one, it is still original.

Thats not enough of a reason to disregard the car as none starter. Corsa GSis were £12k in 93 and that actually is a small car. The D is comparable internally to Astras of that period, which were more.

They you've inflation to consider, the fact that it is a better car and also that it has a niche following - many of whom are saying they would very much like one.

They you have the households with more than one car where they're being bought as second vehicles.

Also despite the comparison with Astra VXR being similar money for a used one, the Corsa will still be cheaper to run, insure and service. I think the wise money is on a used Astra but some people would rather pay more and get it new. Its worth being unwise for anyone who wants it to their spec or factory fresh.
