you can do a manual fault code check on them also, hold the trip computer button in on the end of the stalk and turn the igntion on, this will send the dials into diag mode and the needles will start moving about.
Watch the trip computer and use the button on the end of the stalk to change it to the fault code bit, if it displays four ---- then all is good
