Deserves both, hes young enough for young player and hes good enough for just player so why not? He's making history in a history making season thoroughly deserved imo

he is young, but IMO it should go by both age and number of seasons/games you've played in the top flight!

although gerrard in the team of the year. tbh this season he hasn't been as good as prior season's imo.

Hammer - It just seems strange even having a young player of the year award, as if they win the player of the year then its just a formality that he will win the young player. And as Rob said, with the age of players coming through now (16/17yr olds) they will find it impossible to be recognised against the likes of Ronaldo and Rooney who have got 4+ seasons at this level under their belt.

And that team of the year is a joke.

Ive no problem with it being mostly made up of Utd players, and that midfield/forward line is what I would of picked personally. BUT how the hell can the whole of the back 5 be made up ignoring any players from the two teams who have fewer goals conceeded than Utd.
