Sounds like a big and promising package. I'd rather have them concentrate on new games however.

Games like WoW and CS are strictly PC. But then each system have their niche games. I use my 360 for gaming more than I do my PC, but thats due to my PC being pretty inferior and my 360 being totally plug and play. Put disc in, turn on, play.....

well regardless of what any one thinks you can not argue that devs have been aiming more towards console games these days, obviously pc games are still coming out. Think back to a few years ago how many quality pc only titles were coming out and think about it now, most of the time the quality game comes out for the console then gets ported to pc.
Regardless of what you or anyone considers "serious" it still stands that consoles are getting a hell of a lot more attension than pcs are at the moment, there will always be the huge mmorpg on the pc though but like some one said thats a niche market.

Home does seem like a good idea, the question is will it appeal to the Ps3's target market which imo is 18+ with a lot of spare cash.
I can see how it would appeal to youngsters but older gamers may just see it as a distraction of gimmik, then again they said that about the Ds and look at the sales of that.
Then again like some one said this is sony who big everything up before they release it then when its released it turns out to be pap lol i wont hold my breath.

Sony doesn't market the ps3 as just a console.
It's marketed as more of a home entertainment hub.
All these things fit in with that.

yeah it does offer a lot of media options, the psp was marketed as a portable media device aswell though and thats not fairing to well because of it lol.
They should really concentrate on the games aswell as the media capabilities.
On another note they should really make some new adverts the ones they have now are enough to put me off buying a ps3 for the rest of my life lol there horrible.

I can see this being quite a success. This is not aimed at the geeky computer community. Its real target is all the non techie, myspace second life type people of which there is a large growing community
