Whats peoples thoughts on this? What do coupe's handle like? Quick? Looks fantastic, needs a GSI bumper but that can all get done i suppose.

What are the engines like? There is one in silver with a gsi bumper, looks like he is on migweb but the engine has done nearly 100k? Are they reliable at thet mileage?

Boost gauge is easy fix, brakes are hardly noticeable.

I've got a 1.8 coupe, it goes well for a heavy car. Handling side of things isn't to bright so I upgraded to an Eibach spring and shocks setup which has kept most of the comfort and stopped a lot of the roll and unsteadiness around corners

Decent package and very tuneable, fairly realiable if looked after, VXR turbo and injectors is a decent upgrade and the Turbo can be got for £500 which is quite reasonable.
Handling, not that great but can be vastly improved with a set of Eibach springs and shocks.
Decent cars.

I love mine to pieces!
Mine has the full Irmscher suspension setup (possibly made by Bilstein?) and it rides and handles very well, very well built cars and, in my opinion, one of the best looking Vauxhalls for many years - they look immense with the GSi front bumpers (better than on the GSi's imo) and a nice set of Vaux/Irmy wheels.

TBF an ibiza cupra has shocking handling as standard. So thats no biggy. Looking for something quick, reliable, smart, comfortable, these seem to fit the package nicely. And can be picked up for a bargain.
What are the tuning options?
IE What does a remap take the performance too?
What will a VXR turbo and injectors give?

Jules has a 2.2 16v.
VXR turbo with the injectors and stage 1 map should be good for 230bhp.

Is the VXR engine completely different?

I've driven a 2.2 Astra hatch and a 1.8 Coupe, but never a Turbo.

Is the VXR engine completely different?
Balancer shafts removed (most likely a different crank too because of it)
Oil spray bars to the backs of the pistons
Different Injectors
Different intake manifold
Different Turbo & manifold
Presumably a different CR too
just a bit
