Because of my injury and not playinjg now till next season...I went to watch a mate play against them yesterday at Gigg Lane (Bury FC) which is there home ground...now whilst on the way there knew they had a decent following so was expecting a good few hundred to turn out....walked into the stadium and was greated with a half full stadium....
The official attendance was 3,890 odd....FC United won 5-0...there a very good side...play good football...Ryan Giggs brother plays up front for them...he is a ringer for him just a lot skinnier...they have a few decent players...the right back is impressive...so is there left winger...
They have just won the North West Counties league...and are promoted to the Unibond 1st division (I think)...
Madness as there gate takings must be HUGE...with backing like that I can see them progressing through the leagues very quickly as they can pay good wages etc and bring good players in...
Marc will be interested in this

Exactly the same as AFC Wimbledon, walked through the easy leagues and are now finding it harder to progress from the Ryman Prem - alas interest starts to fade.

I can imagine....they charged £7 on the gate...so imagine 3,900 paying £7...£27,000 on the gate alone for a home game!!!

Must be paying some of the players a fair whack though - A lot of them aren't going to drop down to that level for nothing! Add the rent that Bury charge, won't be cheap although they must be making a tidy sum for a non league outfit.
