What model?, look on the av forums.
Someone mentioned that they are not set up best out of the box on the factory settings.
After a few tweeks can be very good.
I just bought a 46" M86 today

flat screen pictures are just not as good as an old skool tube, thats just the way it is. and why hd is here!
give the tv a few weeks to "run in" just like a new car... it really does make a difference

er what he does have a hd tv
And what are you actully running through the tv, dont forget most things with a scart connection, e.g old ntlboxes, skyboxes, older consoles ect wont look very good lcd just dont do well with older scart connections ect.
My NTL box looks worse on my hd tv than it did on my old tube, hence why im getting the V+ box in.
And like some one said with a bit of tweeking they can look a lot better.

But other than get Sky HD, what are people supposed to do?
I'm looking at getting a 32" soonish, but things like this put me off.

a lot of things can be improved with a decent connection, for instance upgrading ps2 to component cable leaves it looking great.
Or just upgrade everything to hd thats what im doing lol.
That said you can get cheap dvd players with hdmi connection ect.

But how can you upgrade everything to HD?
If you want to watch normal TV for example, the only channel in HD is BBC HD.

yup but the sky hd box or the V+ box depending on which service you run uses a decent connection to begin with so improves the picture on every channel.
Not speaking from experience about the sky box but it works wonders on all the channels with the v+ box.

i only bought an lcd as i wanted to wall mount... id say most people on here have 360 or PS3 so hd dvd or blu ray is out there for you as well. as for sd... well digital is a great improvement on analogue, so if youre new to digital then youll be happy!
