I've been in a Evo 5 running about 300bhp.

Was absolutely rapid, and the brakes were amazing.

Agreed, Evo 5+ is the better bet. Not keen on the looks of the 4 Evo, what you need to remember is the 4 was the first model to use some of the new age technology. By the 5/6 problems were ironed out and improved.

Check out lancerregister.com for loads of info, I'm sure you won't regret it although your bank balance might

Nice choice , but i would keep some pennies aside for the inevitable issues that you will encounter.

Absolutely love the 4's, and for the money there isn't much that compares imo, obviously the evo 5, 6, etc are better! But they are another ££££, when i'm 21 i'll have an evo.

I drove an FQ340 last year. Was amazing. a bit plasticky inside, but who gives a flying one when you can hit 60 in around 4 seconds. Great to drive. absolutley on rails. Brakes were shocking........until they were warm. I'd have an Evo over a Scooby anyday.

I have and own an evo 5 309bhp, and on the road there is not alot that can touch it, i had an evo 4 but tbh i would have rather had nothing then an evo 4, totally wank and abused. Evo 5 dont only look awesome but is a sought after model. evo 6's are also nice, so my advise is to look for a low mile evo 6 , as a low mile evo 5 prob bit more expensive.

You can get a evo 6 running 320+ by just a complete exhaust system from turbo and filter, but be aware u will need a new fuel pump if over 320 and also consider a organic or single plate clutch to cope with the demands better.

hope this helps
