as the title say guys i have a '99 v reg 1.4 16v sport, here is the problem:
when i start the car it runs fine for abit, until my EM light comes on, when this happens, the car will stutter as if it aint got any power (or as if it has kagaroo petrol if anyone has had that before!! haha!!), if i stop at a junction and try to pull away, its very very slugish until it gets over about 2500rpm then its ok, same in most gears but is fine if i am in neutral and rev it - no stuttering or flatspots
like i say it only does it when the EM light comes on - until then it is fine and dandy!!
any ideas what it could be and if so how much to fix it - want the experience if posible so i'm hoping it aint out major!!
cheers in advance,
Jon

egr valve or buggered wire on your map sensor causing it to overfuel.

best job to do a diagnostics on it, a wire on my map sensor snapped and caused the car to cut out at below 1500 revs, pretty scary seeing as steering goes off aswell egr valve just needed a cleaning but caused to be a bit hesitant
