i dunno if you can remember back in feb this year i had a lil bump and need a new bumper and slam panel, all that is fine but i do have a largeish gap still round my passenger headlight which is bugging me.I have tried to ignore it but i cant ignore it anymore its really gettin on my nerves.

There was no damage to any of the wings and bonnet in the bump so cant really understand why it is there,iv check the lamp panel and cant see any damage or creases to it.so im really puzzled as what it can be.any way i want this sorted some how.

can any one help or give me any advice

I have the same problem on mine. It's because the slam panel hasn't been fitted properly. Bolts my ass.

on the drivers side the bonnet is laying low to the wing making the headlamp gap tighter.

you need to take it to a panel beater to line it up for you. theres 2many variables to try and do it over the net.

when lining up the front of a car first thing to do is

measure from a wing bolt at back to a point on the front panel at the opposite side (diagonal measurement)
do this on the same point on either sides of the front panel to make sure the top of the front of the car is square.

You can also do the chassis legs in the same way.

if its accross aat all then itd need a pull to correct ti but in this case id say it isnt. u can allow a 3mm tolerance in measurements

first off check how level the wings sit to the doors and then check the gaps are the same on either side. use coins if u like for a more accurate reading than just fingers etc

once this is done i would remove the bonnet catch so the bonnet cant lock.

make sure the bonnet is level with the front edges of the wings(lenght wise) then starting at the back push the bonnet to have an equal gap between the wings and bonnet

at the front adjust the wings to give a uniform gap down the bonnet/wing

set the rubber height adjusters on the slam panel for the bonnet. rem the more u screw the bonnet up the gap will also widen and the more u go down it wil tighten so best to set the height of the bonnet before u gap the wings

now u can adjust ur lights to have a nice gap the same. dont worry if u have to leave it wider than the one u like as its not correct. slacken the lamps and jig them about bit till ur happy with them. set ur bonnet catch again
