wheel came in post today (cheers beeftech ), so thought yeah, be reet, wont take long.....a whole goddam 6 hours!! can you believe it! the old steering wheel internal bit snapped so i had to persuade that off, anyways its all back together now and the airbag light won't go off! its all connected fine aswell....grrrrr i hate corsas, gonna have a go at it after my exam 2mo...otherwise the bulbs just comin out!

old wheel

was worn and doing my nut in!

new one...

and my dilema

got the bugger off!

then the thing the wheel attatches to (forgot name?! ) decided it was too low so i set about getting it back to normal!! involving a lot of old bike parts used as spacers!

was so tempted to leave like this but no....i carried on!

and now its ok apart from the airbag light....

if you turned the ignition on without the airbag connected then it will have stored a trouble coded for the drivers squid, high resistance and will need clearing before the light will go out back to normal

most garages with a fault code reader will be able to clear the code
dont go to vaux unless you want to pay £50 or more
my dealer would do it for next to nothing as it takes 2 mins max
but hey we are number one for customer satisfaction in the country

remove the airbag light bulb, takes 10 mins.

also, that bit would have come off in seconds if you had used a 3 legged puller.

not neccesarily. i dont believe its part of the MOT. ABS light is but not airbag light. but i also think that depends on where you take it
