im making a parcel shelf im putting 6x9's on it whats the best way to make sure the hole is the right size?

cut the hole slightly smaller than required as you can make the hole bigger but you cant make it smaller

If the speakers sit in a dish, as such, just draw around the insode of that and then cut them out.

make a template, get a jigsaw, cut it out.

Just drawn around then, making sure you draw under the lip, then cut it out with a jigsaw.
