McClaren is a fool for dropping him in the first place.

"It is a boost for everyone that he is involved. You do miss your best players."
Shame he doesn't realise that with Beckham the ginger ferreted fool.

"I can't understand how a player who is playing so well can be left out of any national side," said Capello.

Beckham was and is better than he's given credit for, i love watching him (non homosexual way) he is elegant and about as technically gifted an English player i've ever seen.

Agreed. I'd love him back in the Premiership, never gonna happen though.

He will never come back to the premiership.
1. Where would he want to go
2. They way him and his family are treated by the press.
3. He has decided to take up a new challange in the states.

He gets slated for being in the side, and now once he's gone every one wants him back.....

That's the fickleness of fans i'm afraid, the real football supporters can spot a mistake.
Everyone calling for Micah Richards to replace Neville for example, yes maybe 3 or 4 years down the line but that would be a huge mistake just now he's learning his trade and is a million miles away from the calibre of Neville.

He is by far my favourite player and I will be getting his name and number on the new shirt as a homage to him

think mclaren was brave getting rid and he did the right thing at the time, well becks showed his commitment the minute he stopped being captain imo, if he should come back now its tricky i dont know it would be any good or not because you look at who england have to play for them and yet they lose to the utter most crap.

I'd argue the exact opposite, he was the guy you knew would be a scapegoat given his high profile, getting rid of him was a cop out that was pressurised by the media.
The best teams don't drop their best players especially ones at give you as muh desire and work rate as David Beckham.

read further down, where i state i believe that becks showed his commitment imo at the time by disbanding himself as captain, this is why he was right to get rid, i do agree he was a good scapegoat though

He bowed to public pressure as well as believing he was doing the right thing, which imo he was.
Outwardly anyway there was no player at the time that looked like he wanted to play for his country more than Beckham, not a lot has changed by the looks of things.

I think Neville and Hargreaves show passion.
People like Lampard are just wooden.
