Actually I got back on Friday but have had a busy weekend and not had time to get on here and post up!
Firstly I DID manage to get in. After Istanbul I knew there would be a lot of people up and around the ground, also heard a lot about the fakes so got up there early. The set up was shocking, so so so poor. After going through 5 ticket checks it was only just outside the ground at the last check that they used UV to see if they were real, and by then the guys with fakes were determined to get in no matter what. If they had had a similar setup to Cardiff with the turnstyles then no trouble would of happened at all.
I managed to get pics of all the touble from over the top of the stadium showing the checks and all the police so will post them up when Ive a chance to get them off the camera.
Gutted about the result, but then again it was the story of our season...played well, created chances but them failed to score. Highlights once again that we need a world class forward this summer. AC's first goal was abit lucky, but their second was quality, and almost impossible to defend against.
Pennant and Masch were immense for us IMO. Riise and Zenden were both shocking though and meant our whole left side was just wasted. Also thought Gerrard didnt grab hold of the game as he usually does, even though he had more freedom than he ever has in games.
Atmosphere was good, very very good infact. Probably helped that Im guesisng more than 5k more Liverpool fans were in there than should of been...no spare seats, all stairways were full of people stoff there, everywhere!
Well done to the Milan fans though. All the ones I met were taking the banter in good fun and didnt see any trouble the days before or after the game either which was a good sign!
Got a load of pics I'll post up asap!

Roughly....
£57 for the ticket
£250 flight to Cyprus
£300 hotel in Cyprus for 3days
£300 flight to Athens
£900 hotel in Athens for 3 days
And then a fortune on drink and foot as everywhere in Athens had atleast doubled the prices of everything.

we wanted either the £100 or the £143 priced tickets, but due to all these being given away to sponsors and players familier (around 4k in total) we were left with these or the £45 ones

some people paid more than all that just for a ticket, atleast I managed to get a bit of a holiday in a decent hotel, 3 nights in one of the best hotels in Athens (where AC were staying!) and first class flights

Pics time, I've loads but cant be arsed resizing them all so here are some of them...
Some of the banners in the main square in the centre of Athens on the Tues night
The first part outside of the ground, police checked you had a ticket here (not if it was real or not though), next check would be up where the Mastercard sign is.
After passing through the next ticket check (again they didnt check if it was real or not) you got into the Olympic Park area which had these massive arches. This was about a 5 min walk to the actual stadium.
Closest you could get to an actual beer inside this part now
5 mins later!
Now came the area where all the trouble happened. To get into the ground they decided to check your tickets another 3 times, with the last the ONLY check to see if it was real!! This pic was after I had gone through and taken from the top of the stadium, you can see the 2 checks and then the final one by the gates/police.
They were taking everything off you. Tried taking my camera saying it was professional and also were taking ENGLISH coins off you only. I had a pocket full of Euro coins and said thats fine, but the guy next to me had come in for just the day so had a fair amount of UK coins and they made him throw them on the floor
And now the trouble...People were just going through with fake tickets, and the searching was causing a big bottle neck so crowds were now at the last gate and more pushing through from behind.
So the police called it a day and let EVERYONE through, with ZERO checks on if the tickets were real or not. There was no fighting at this gate at allso how UEFA can blame Liverpool fans when the police just let them all through is a joke!
And lastly just a few banners inside the ground that were laid out.
And Hammer will be happy to know that Celtic were even there...or atleast the banner they gave us in support of the Justice campaign was anyway!
I have a load of more the stadium full, but didnt take any whilst the game was on or the end (:mad as was too busy singing and/or getting mad!!

they were bad when I went through very very early (you can see how empty the ground is in the pics I took and we had been there 20mins by that time!).
And UEFA is blaming Liverpool fans...I think not!!

Looks like chaos but sure it was worth going anyway. In desperate need of a new striker.
