do you want an online game or offline?
online games kind of get stale as theres not really an end i find them pretty pointless to play.

Don't get involved in WoW - it's far too addictive and you WILL regret getting into it, once it's got you it's hard to get away from

baulders gate 1 and 2, huge real time fighting rpg countless endings ect, played from a top down perspective.
fallout - tactical rpg again free to do what you want.
planescape - excellent rpg top down perspective again fighting is in real time.
as for final fantasy type theres
anacranox (sp) turn based sci fi rpg.
vampire : redemption (real time fighting) but very very good story and gameplay
grandia old school turn based rpg, very ff like.
as for first person shooter/rpgs
system shock 2
deus ex
and obviously ff7 and ff8 were released on pc.
cant think any n e more off top of me head.
theres not much japanease turn based rpgs on the pc though its mainly consoles.
ow and morrow wind excellent
