No, I just put the interior light to show that it still works

They work on their own perfectly, Ill take a picture when its darker later.

So will they work permanently as long as the mirrors are open? Don't need keys turned or anything? As I will be fitting an electric sunroof soon, so will wire it up to the same place!

Yep, its a permanent live, so when you open the visors, two metal contacts meet and complete the circuit = lights on.

Not sure, would there be one around there? Was told just to piggyback off the interior light live.
