The girlfriends corsa keeps bogging and losing power when first started for around 20-30 seconds or when trying to rev it in neutral, and will dip in power now and again when normal driving, changed the fuel filter thinkin it might be that but its done nothin, sounds like the engine cant breathe?
Its got a new Air filter and Fuel Filter

air flow meter, thats my geuss, my corsa does the same, they used to cost a fortune but there cheap now i think. its the chip thing with the plugs on the pipe from air box to the engine

My mums Micra is like that; you start it up and it judders, trying to cut out, you have to rev it to keep it idling.
You should be able to get a AFM for much cheaper than that. Try the scrap yard, or spares.

your catalytic convertor may be blockd?when its old the internals break down and clog up your exhaust.but if this had happend it would prob hinder performance all of the time rather than some of the time.have u check spark plugs and leads?
