Derby goalkeeper Stephen Bywater says he could be in contention for England's No 1 jersey next season. (Mirror)

"I grew up with a few of the lads like Paul Robinson, Rob Green and Chris Kirkland and they are good but I don't think they are anything special," he said. "I'm confident but not cocky.

What a tosser. Don't think there's anything in the water (do they have water there?!) but it's clearly a small town in Nottingham over loaded with inbreds.

Plenty of Powerstations in the area, maybe they drink the left overs from there?

Did anyone here him when Sky were interviewing one of the players after the won promotion, he just ran up behind the guy and shouted "GET YOUR RAT OUT"

Have any of you seen him play 90 minutes?

A very solid keeper IMO, one of if not the player of the season for us!

Makes little difference, if he was one of the best he'd be signing up for a top club right now!

Stephen Bywater is not that good so has no chance of getting in the England team yet. In a couple of years once he has signed for a good team and not playing for the sheep shaggers then maybe

But as he will be back in the championship after next season when Derby go back down i dont see him getting to be Englands number 1

I think associating you with a bellend is being kind to be honest. A cheesy example at that.

Being in the Premiership goes to peoples heads sometimes, like we've seen with Sheff Utd, they seem to think they've got a divine right to be in the top flight, Derby will go straight down, small club, small bank balance and the fanbase is not big enough to warrant any large support income either, Sunderland may stay up and Birmingham too, but Derby kick it long and hope for the best.
This goalie is average, but sometimes you have to let the lamb walk to the Wolf in order to educate it.
