ANyone know off hand? I want to freeze it, then carry on with the same policy when i get back in the country, rather than cancell then have to mess about. If nobody knows i'll ring and ask but i hate phones so would rather ask here!

nope i tried to do this when my car was off the road for 4 months since i pay monthly it seemd pointless paying but they said i would have to start agen and lose out on a years no clamis. im with red star so it could be different for other insurance

what if someone nicked it of something happened when you were out of the country, personaly i would just pay it,

Im awaiting a callback from HIC at the moent for the very same question, as I will be living in Spain for 10 months of next year!

not too bothered as they're not taking any money (pay monthly) so will just update car details and be off on my way
