Correct, no wiring, it uses the same loom.

i just dumped one in mine shouldnt need to rewire anything just plug engine in the same and swap the ecus over. job done

I thought with changing the ECU you have to change the transponder and the chips?

You do, but an X16XE will run on an X14XE ECU, it's just not ideal.

can you get an after market ecu and use the transponder from the 1.4?

You don't need the transponder with an aftermarket ECU, the immobiliser is in the ECU, so if you use something different, you don't need the stuff for the immobiliser

cool , might come in handy when I buy my project car later this year hopefully depending on whether I can actually find a damn corsa with a x16xe in it for sale near me
