to have wheels machined down to your correct offset?

I'm looking at some wheels but they only come in some daft offset of about 20, which won't be any good the Corsa.

Does anyone know or heard of anywhere that does this?

i thought the whol point of machining wheels is to get the offset higher? not lower

He doesn't want spacers, that'd make them sit out even further.

A 20mm spacer (which an adaptor would be) would make an ET20 wheel have an effective offset of ZERO, that's 49mm too low for a Corsa.

Anyway, 29mm off the face of the wheel is fat too much, unless it's got REALLY thick hubs on the wheel, if it's a normal wheel, it'll just end up thin and weak and the bolt might pull through.

BUT all wheels come from the same casting and then are machined at factory

wheel A might have 10mm taken off it and wheel B might have 20mm taken off it. taking a further 10mm off wheel A will not do any harm

It depends on the drilling of the bolt holes.

On a wheel with an offset of 20, it might have 10mm between the chamfer and the mounting face, a wheel with a 49mm offset would be the same, so removing 10mm from either would make the bolt pull through.

The holes are drilled for bolts the same length, it's very rare for the bolts to be really long.

I'm wanting to sit the wheel further under the arch, not further out.

Does anyone know where I can get my arches pulled out, it's got to be a top job. It would really suit the wheels I'm after as well if I got some flared arches

i'm not wanting spacers or adaptors! Spacers make them sit out furhter, which I do not want and I don't need adaptors because i can get them in 4 x 100!

I want to know of any proper places that do arch flaring, non of this filler shit.

duno mate, apparently you can do it about 3mm. So you can get them machined to about et43. I thought 40 would just be Ok though?
