Just completed it in about 2weeks on and off, not a very long and involving game!!!!
Gutted now, can't believe it was 40 squids
What game is better, got crackdown and it awfull!!!!!!!!

Gears single player is very repeative - find cover.... shot... kill.... find cover... shot....kill....  I completed the single player mode within about a week!
Multiplayer is a different matter.... must spent hours and hours mastering the game (sad but true  )
You cant beat the sound of the headshot using the sniper!!!!
I've had the game since January and still cant get enough of the online gaming

Completed the main storyline maybe.. what level? Casual? Hardcore?
Instead of being gutted, go ahead and try get the full 1000 achievement score on it.. then you'll have fully completed it.

me and my mate ran through casual with pistols only. That was without shooting! we punched every enemy to death even the bombers. We got up to the end of act 4. I wanna see if we can take on the final boss

Completing it on insane mode is SOOO much better, and as russ says, playing it with a mate is even better. GoW is probably the joint top game i own for the 360 (with forza) and itl take some beating.

as people have said, Insane mode plays a lot differently to Harcore and Casual, it's not just harder but more fun as well.
Then there's online mode. Probably one of the best games I've played online along with Half Life and others.

Finished the storyline last night as well. I'll go back throgh on and try to get more achievements but want to do a bit more on TDU first. Wasn't as long as I was expecting

7 hours on easy 14 hours on hardcore 21 hours in insane (iirc  )

you really need someone to play through insane with you, your team mates (ie Dom) are just thick and get killed time after time.
