Looking to upgrade my car, wanting something newer not bothered about wether it has Turbo, etc.

Just something around 1.8 engine size & upwards & not too harsh on the insurance.

Spending 3-5K bracket I reckon.

Thoughts?

Focus ST170 (not sure how cheap they are now, but I bet they're not far off 5k these days)
Newer shape Celica (again, not sure about prices)

Only thing is less than £5k will get you a high mileage golf / a3 / ibiza.

Where as £4000 will get you a mint low mileage 106 gti or a nice corsa sri.

I'd prefer a newer or lower mileage car than a german car.
