One of my mates is having troubles getting songs to play on her Nano. I used it before with no problems on my laptop (XP) and was able to transfer songs and play them fine.
Gave the Nano to her, it recognises it fine in iTunes but when she goes to play the tracks a warning message comes up and gives her a link to the Apple Support webpage. Apparently Vista doesn't support iTunes or something like that...
Is there a patch or update for this that will fix it? If so where could I find it?
Cheers
Dave

no, you can set it so you can manage the songs 'manually'. This lets you take it from pc to pc

so this is a totally different issue altogether then...? strange
There were songs on there that I put on from my laptop. I then gave the Nano to her (i don't use it that much and she needed it for the gym) and this error comes up.
The link definitely points to a page that says something is incompatible with Vista. Would an update of iTunes sort this out you think?

ah right, i hadn't realised you could authorise more machines.
updates are available dave, it normally prompts you to do it, mine does at least. i haven't had any problems with itunes and vista. if you get totally sick of it try uninstalling and reinstalling itunes, so you've got the most up to date version (if you haven't tried this already)
