ECU Light On

Garage used diagnostic kit and said EGR or Air Mass sensor - also just failed MOT on emissions.

Change Air Mass Sensor - go through MOT - flying colours BUT ECU light still ON.

Changed EGR for one that was second hand but guaranteed to be working. ECU light still ON

Car drives beautifully, accelerates great, cruises, starts first time, ticks over perfectly - it's lovely to drive BUT the damn light is still on?

HELP - any ideas as to whay this could be - I've disconnected the battery and left disconnected for days and reconnected - ECU light still ON.

have you had it back on the diagnostics machine to see what fault code it is storing?

I know what you mean it sucks having to pay for them to plug a computer in and then 30 secs later give you a nice £30 bill or whatever it is these days, but thats the only way you will know if the ECU is storing a fault code
