Released Ipswich Town midfielder Darren Currie has joined Luton Town on a two-year deal. The 32-year-old had been linked with a number of sides including Millwall, Brighton, Colchester and Burnley.
Luton boss Kevin Blackwell says Currie will add experience to his squad: "Darren is an old head whose job will be to help the nurture our young lads through.
"We had a young squad who lacked experience in certain areas and at certain times in games last year and Darren will provide us with some extra strength in midfield."
The self-styled slow winger, released by the Blues at the end of the season, joined Town for £250,000 in December 2004, making 69 starts and 20 sub appearances, scoring nine goals.

Can't see we were interested in him. Not a bad signing in league 1 though.

Plus he is better than Ahmet Brkovic who Currie will replace.

Currie is quite good a player if he has time on the ball and space, don't ever expect him to out pace anybody or tackle though.

I expect him to have a bit more time on the ball in this league compared to the CCC, so hopefully he'll be good for us.

Good to know as our corners are fucking woeful. Pretty sure we only scored 1 goal as a result of a corner last season.

I went off him towards the end of the season before last. I'd like to see some stats, assists and stuff. I just don't think he can do it anymore.
