What is the best way/methods for taking snaps of silver jewellery with a digital camera? With the flash on, there are white bits from the flash, without the flash on, the pic just looks blurry and crap.

I only have an ickle 4.1 Megapixel Sony Cybershot camera... Model DSC-P73 (I think).

I have that but I think it says "SAF" next to it - what does this mean?

Possibly Single Auto Focus. You can by a pocket tripod for £5.
