How can i solve this without putting an extra switch?
Normally the fan comes on when the engine goes hot....nothin happens

Fan switch is probably buggered.

How hot mate?

Sometimes the car has to wait until it's really hot before it kicks in. Like over 100 but not in the red!

Probably the fan switch, Check the fan is ok by removing the plug from the switch and bridging the wires. Turn on the ignition and the fan should come on. If it does it will be the switch.
If not its the fan at fault
