Happens every few months or so, I decide I want an SLR camera. One of these days I swear I will buy one

Are there any decent offer on that anyone has come accross? Don't want to spend loads, but Im not just after the cheapest one that I can lay my hands on

You need lenses, batteries and memory.

I've just decided to buy some batteries for mine as it happens. The ones I have are not holding a charge.

Depends what your idea of cheap is tbh.

Yes matt although I haven't checked recent prices, 400d is 350d's replacement.

350d is very good, especially for the fact that even iso1600 is useable, which is good in low light when you don't have decent lenses.

I would go for used stuff. It doesn't all break at once don't forget.

You'll save enough to buy again whatever fails. Or get better lenses for the same money.

A used D70s body would set you back around £250 and a used 18-70 AF-S lens around £80.
