Bought an 04 plate 1.5 dci Megane with 21k on the clock on the 15th of June (Ally's birthday)
On the 9th of the July the turbo failed on it. I took it into Renault on Tuesday last week.... job was £1695+ vat (new turbo, intercooler, egr valve, pipework, oil filter and new oil)
Have just picked the car up today after they have been fucking me around all week saying they were waiting for parts ect. Engine is now perfect, but they have DAMAGED the cars bodywork.
The have somehow managed to put a 50p sized HOLE in the tailgate. They have also touched up lots of small dinks on the car that werent there before, but they have also touched up a scratch which I already knew was there!
Problem is.... I picked the car up at 4:15pm and took it home (to avoid rush hour). Me being a dick checked the vehicle over when I got back and noticed the damage. Phoned them up and they asked me to bring it down, so I was back there by 5:15pm and they saw it.
They have now asked me to come back tomorrow morning to see the service manager. When I left my car with them I parked it directly infront of their CCTV, so hopefully I can demand to look at it
Pictures are coming ASAP, charging my phone.

Yeah luckily the independant car dealership I bought the car from threw in a free 2 month warranty and asked me to take it to Renault for them to do the work.
He's paid for it but now I've got a damaged car!

this is also why you should always check the car's bodywork/anything that could have been damaged before driving out of the garage.
sometimes people fuck about saying you could've done it, but as someone said earlier, if they dont fix it and pay for it, involve trading standards

I dont mind to sound negative etc but whats stopping them saying you caused the damage?
Obviously I want you to get this all sorted etc - but whats stopping them saying that other than a bit of hassle?

The car had 1 owner before myself, and that person was disabled and on motability.
Her average speed was 13.3mph when I got the car. It didnt get ragged and was serviced.
Whats stopping them saying i caused it, is that they will have the cctv of me leaving the car there (with no damage) and should have the cctv of me driving away (which should show it).
If they dont let me look at the cctv with them, ill involve the police.

My ibiza got a nice scratch when I took it to trenton's in Hull, I spotted it straight away, and the lass behind the counter denied it straight away - saying she knew how much care they took when working on my car, I then asked her what colour my car was, she didn't have a fucking clue hence proved she had no idea what the mechanics had been doing with or to it.
She fetched her manager, who apologised and said it was probably some small stone stuck in the sponge used to clean it, my response was "unless it was a fucking diamond there is no chance that was a stone" (the scratch actually dented the panel slightly too, bodyshop who eneded up fixing it suggested it was a tool trolley that had biffed my car. )
Anyway, the garage paid for it but it was all un-needed hastle and upset.

Hes gone to Renault this morning, been there 20 minutes and i've not heard anything....
Damaged is disgusting, its a full on hole in the tailgate, i couldnt believe it! Plus they've touched up (badly) the scratches that have been made, along with the one on the drivers door which we already knew was there - and was there when he bought the car
Fingers crossed they fix it, but if they kick up a stink then police will be involved and we will demand to see the CCTV of the renault entrance/exits and car park
I just can't believe what they have done!
Any welshies, stay away from Wessex Garages in Newport!
