iv dwindled it down to 3 i would like that are in my price range

all depends on which is the best bargain at the time though

They all seem to be 5 door which isnt ideal but they stil dont look that bad, i have a phew ideas for it to

Try a clio DCi 80 or DCi 100 they are the nuts.

The 5 door mkV Astra with the Irmscher sports styling pack
Look nicer than the 3 door version imo, except VXR's.

yeah thats what im thinkin, least the astra has the turbo, plus it has superchip potential

Did you sell your BMW John?

I'd go for the Astra. Usaed to hae an Astra van 1.7 TD and it goes alright.

yeah wel lads left £100 deposit and pickin it up mon/ tues so its all tooked up in the garage now,

i do really want the astra be it all depends on what crops up,

the 5 doors are growin on me too

i drive a 1.7d everyday (corsa c) and its sluggish but mpg is good

Right, well you listed the Astra along with the Corsa and Clio, which to me means you don't really need a car the Astras size. Also the Corsa will be nippier, considering they both have the same engine. The Clio is quite nice inside etc but they are known for trim falling apart. Plus the 1.7td Corsa in SXi/SRi guise is quite a good package.

all cars have got to come within my figure of around 3.5k max

the corsas are 1.7 d not td's so they wil be slower then the astra, i know about the clios trim but thats only trim and id rather trim fall off then bits of my engine

my dad has the clio dci (65) its quite nippy for what it is and it uses practically no diesel 20 quid lasts him a fortnight and hes never out of it.
