Sister got caught speeding the other day and got a producer. Took all the stuff in, had valid tax, insurance, etc. but the MOT was slightly out of date (which she didnt realise before then).

Whats likely to be the outcome of this?

She will probably get a warning, worst case senario she could be fined for it

Go with worst case seeing as Richie was fined £400 for having a headlight out.

yeah, thats what she is most concerned about.

The woman who checked all the documents was nice about it and didnt say anything was going to happen, so not sure really.

i have been in this situation before and the worst that can happen is a fine, usually between £40-£70 mine was £40 having no mot does not carry any points.

im 99.9% sure thats not true

if you had no MOT and hit someone or had a crash, insurance are still obliged to pay out

so you do still have insurance
