Sister got caught speeding the other day and got a producer. Took all the stuff in, had valid tax, insurance, etc. but the MOT was slightly out of date (which she didnt realise before then).
Whats likely to be the outcome of this?

She will probably get a warning, worst case senario she could be fined for it
Go with worst case seeing as Richie was fined £400 for having a headlight out.

Got stopped a few months ago, MOT was out of date by about 10 months or something stupid, they just told me to get it done, didn't even give me a time limit to do it either

yeah, thats what she is most concerned about.
The woman who checked all the documents was nice about it and didnt say anything was going to happen, so not sure really.

normally the copper just comes in and checks if she did it he wont go looking at everything too much time and all police are lazy chops so if the woman has been ok and took them she whould be ok

i have been in this situation before and the worst that can happen is a fine, usually between £40-£70 mine was £40 having no mot does not carry any points.

im 99.9% sure thats not true
if you had no MOT and hit someone or had a crash, insurance are still obliged to pay out
so you do still have insurance

Specifically states in my policy that it is invalid if not accompnaied by a valid MOT... yeah ins woulod still pay out but just as though you were uninsured iirc
