Van cut me up during the week there , caused the damage below

Just wondering what exactly they will do with this ?

Could it be filled and sprayed , blending it into the panel , and also spraying that particular area of the bumper and blending it in ?

they will knock the wing back out and skim over it to get wid of any ripples in the wing, and then spray the whole wing,

as for the bumper then will just spray the whole thing

Would it be possible to blend into the panel itself though ?

who is at fault?

doesn't look too bad, you could probably source a white wing or could cost a few hundred quid for an alright job

beat it out, fill it, skim it, then blow them both in, they'll use top coat i'd have thought so should be a quick job, a day max, and about £100 there or there abouts

Bumper doesnt even need filling now that i see it properly

And I reckon I could push that dent out , but not sure about fixing the paint that has come off the wing as its down to metal

New wing would be the quickest and easiest route. You would have to put in loads of filler to repair that even if you did pop it out.

thats how body shops work mate, they will blow it in, weather you wanted it blowing in or not! either way you would not know, as it would just look like there was never a problem in the first place. if done right

tbh if a bodyshop that would do that isnt worth going to, would just make you think what else they try to bodge.

it might be the way dodgy cheap bodyshops do it, but not decent ones.

some of these replys made me laugh

i work for a ford main dealer body shop

and for the damage on that wing we wouldnt replace it

to start off if ur a gd panel beater
i would b able to get most of that dent out then a bit of metal shrinking and filing
would only need a very light skim of filler

as for the paint side of it we use du pon
clear over base so we would blend the white base coat then laquer the whole wing job done

i cant belive people are sayin the right way is to put a new wing on
i would always prefer to repair the original panels not cut of and weld a new one

this is why theres a shortage of decent "panel beaters" in the trade
