Mum tried claiming her back, but it's all in the air at the high courts so all claims are on hold now I think.

I got charge twice last year for being overdrawn, £38 each time. Wrote to Natwest n they sent a letter back saying they dont agree with the basis of my complaint but as a goodwill gesture they have reimbursed me the £76.
I think they know that they have to pay it back but aren't explicitly saying they are in the wrong. Quite snidy imo

although i dont have overdrafts or loans..i dont have credit status apparently! although they also said my money goes out to quick thats why! its god damn stupid these charges! , the charges i have had are purely good reasons! one was my work didnt pay me so a direct debit bounced!, which pureky isnt my fault.. second time was a cheque bounced for no reason twice! when the fund where in my account!, they only refunded one charge!!

thing is though, if you have goen over your agreed overdraft limit then surely its your fault, so there should some sort of charge at least!?
sorry but it is alot of effot to go try find proof of charges ive had over the last year.. like isaid its about 3 ! all at £39.. which is alot of money ...that could pay my car tax for 6 months! lol
id have to dig out statements..whihc infact i dont bother keeping half the time tbh! and going to all that effort...
If they did all the searching for the charges themselves id happily cal them to arrange that! lol

The point isnt that you shouldnt be charged. Its that you should only be charged the admin fee associated with going overdrawn (said to be about £4).
The fact they charge you £20-40 each time represents a penalty charge, which are illegal, and means you should have a refund.

Once again, I think they are justified to charge what they like.
If you want an agreed overdraft you can have one for a small fee (which is agreed before you go over) and it only takes a few minutes to phone them. Unauthorised overdraft is just like stealing - ain't your money to take. I say they can charge what they like.

As above...
You wont get anywhere at the moment.
The banks have now paid out over £1bn and they want to stop it.
Whilst i dont think its fair that people are charged.... i dont blame the banks for trying to stop it!
