insurance
21 4NCB 2.0 16V Modified Corsa
last year: Brntache - £1200 (1150 for the 1.6 with a £50 charge to put my 2.0 in)
Renewal
brentache = £1074.0
OR
Flux = £889
I have to ring brentache back tomorrow to try and beat flux's quote, but they wont be able to becasue i feel flux have a better link with "highways agency" insurance.
What am i to do?
Get Brentache as close as i can toFlux an then take that renewal or go with flux and be raped on admi fee's and poor claims service?
I Really do like brentache and love the way they work but there renewal rice is o high IMHO for me (not trying to be big headed).
I really dont mind paying more to be away from flux as i hate their admin fees for everything you change - Brentachre just say "thanks forletting us know", as i did this last year, but i just cannot pay that much difference more.
BTW tried others and they just couldnt get anywhere near the price (E.g HIC - £2k:lol
Sorry for the essay.

Endsliegh kept me on hold for over 7 minute, i put the phone down.
I know its money but how can i justify spending so much and having a bigger excess?

i said this last year and they knocked 200£ off, if they an get it down to £900 (by Direct debit) i will go with them,
But if they cannot do i bite the bullet and fork out admin fees and that for flux?
im trying to work out what im going to do over the next year tosee if the admin fees will take it past Brentachres quote. but i cannot think of what i want to do with it

That's £185 difference, which means you can accrue £185 in admin fees before you're square on the purchase, plus if you crash with Flux it will again be cheaper - assuming they pay of course.

Heard of some really bad things about Highway, who Flux deal with, as when you have a crash even if not your fault they may not pay out.
Is it worth that extra money and knowing your dealing with reputable company like brentacre, or deal with a company that potentially wont pay out, even if you have payed insurance. Hope this helps mate.

money is one thing, but customer service is another, if you have an insurer that has treated you well and given you brilliant service, then surely they are worth the bit extra?

I'm with Lloyds TSB because their customer service has been fantastic. Swapped cars after cars with them and even gave me free insurance on a courtesy car when the windscreen broke on the Corsa. Also replaced two windows on two separate occasions without a problem. Never lost my ncb either.
I use them for banking too and it's the same service throughout.
£185 is a fair bit of cash though. I'd personally take a chance but depends if you're planning on doing more work to your car or need to contact them on this policy.
I can't really complain about my insurance now. Only paid £256 fully comp Excess is up to £450 but only to keep the costs down. Not crashed in the past 6/7 years, hopefully won't any time soon.

i was in exactly same situation as u
22yrs old, 2 yrs ncb 1.2 SXI, no claims/convictions
ensign thru brentacre renewal £780
highways thru flux £525, thats £255 difference, i rang brentacre asking for them to match it, so i got flux to send me a written quote
suprisingly brentacre matched it!
