Had to pay £90 to have it removed

Parked in a privately owned car park for almost 9 months & apparently the signs went up yesterday. Even though they weren't there this morning when I parked there

Wouldn't have been so bad if it weren't for the wanker who worked for the clamping company I started asking about who he works for, when the signs went up & who put them up etc, also about if there's damage to the car what do we do.....then his mate threatened to hit me. Continued to ask questions & got a few more threats. Called the police to gceck out if the company was legit & also report the fact that he was threatening me, as well as both of them generally being rude & offensive to everyone else who got clamped (about 10 people)

Soon as they realised I'd called the cops the guy threatening me disappeared rather quickly. Then when I realised my clamp wasn't on right I had a look & started inspecting it. At which point the other guy came over all in my face threatening to hurt me if I touch his property. Also said I'll have you round town...great

I thought I'd have a blast at moving it slightly as my cars too low for it to go on right. Moved backwards & he came flying over in his car blocking my path. Became clear that It was half attatched & he then said "right then you fucking prick, It's getting towed". had another quick look at the clamp & at this point he went in my car & took my keys

Straight back on the phone to the coppers to report the theft. Eventually turned up & got my keys back

What a complete set of wankers though! There the type of drunken dickheads that you try to avoid in the rough pubs in town....only there on a total power trip Couldn't believe how they spoke to some of the women, was fucking pathetic. They've all said that they'll make a statement about the whole key theft & threats situation. According to the copper they have a lot of dealings with the bloke & his company & have told me to put forth a civil case

Had to pay the £90 fine too which pissed me off immensely, although he did want £200 as I'd moved it

What a rubbish evening

At least you didn't go to the trouble to demonstrate how easy it is to remove them only to have him put one on the other wheel

Any form of claming is illegal. It's not right that you have to pay nearly £100 on the spot otherwise your car will be removed for a fee of around £200, then they will charge you £100 a day holding charge at the impound, then a release fee of something stupid like £50.

I moved it with my hands & they went for me, don't think a sneaky bolt croppers attack would work

Plus, they can do you for criminal damage & charge you for a lock

He tried to claim criminal damage as it had scraped on the floor slightly when I moved the car but he hadn't put anything on the car to tell me not to move it. He'd done this on every other car there

Also it was already proper fucked anyway

Joe, thanks for the offer. But trust me I'd need someone more like Craig W or SetH

Actually just read this now....

Phone the company, say they've scratched your £100 alloy wheel, get compo, and you've got your £90 back plus £10 in phone calls
