well went to southend and bas last night with a few mates. took the corsa as the buyer i had lined up turned out to be a time waster

was on me way home bout 1 am, giving the car a good thrashin down the a130. got back to chelmsford and all of a sudden car starts boggin down. next thing i know engine management light came on then the oil pressure light

check out the oil etc and everything seemed fine so let her cool down and then started her up and my god did she make some noise

by the sounds the bottom end is fucked and the top end is tapping slightly, got her towed home and left her over night

checked her today after work and went to start her up and nothin dead, the engine has seized

Sounds like oil pump failed or something.

Exactly same as what happened to mine, sounds simillar problem too

yer that was one of the assuptions we made on the side of the road

oh well time for bigger engine. not too sure i wanna go xe route . may get 1.6 for now as lookin at a new car end of sep

i have a fully rebuilt 1.6gsi engine which has done about 100miles from build, am splitting the motor
