So I resigned from managing On yer Bike in Burnley with a plan and this is what i've done....
I started renting a unit just outside Whalley where I live in Lancashire.
It was a mess!

Then I started painting it with a little help from a couple of mates and built a new partition because the attempt at one already there was pathetic!

After a lot of grafting, moddifiying, playing about with ideas etc things started coming together....

I then robbed and modified a logo a friend made for a uni project! It looked good...

More updates to follow!

You dont need to pay a company for a logo, the simplest designs tend to be the best in my opinion.

Well thanks for the remarks about my logo but it's already final! Sorry Johny lol. I then decided to make my sign for outside myself, I used a projector to put the image on a sheet of 1/4" ply and drew round it. I then painted each section twice and varnished each side a few times to give it a good coating!

Next came the entrance door, it was rotten at the bottom and opened outwards. So I fitted a new door and frame and painted them. I also put a porch on to stop the rain hitting the bottom of the door.

Next was to finally use the small room upstairs, the office! Using the 4' x 8' Table thing that was made from MDF and 3" x 2" I crafted myself a desk and covered it in newspaper then varnished it to give a more aged feel. The wall next to the desk will be eventually covered in cars showing the newspaper through in small areas as background. The carpet was found in a mates house where it was slyly taken!

I've done quite a bit of painting since on doors etc and put up a few more shelves and banners. I also found/got hold of some cule road signs and a cone which have been slightly modified. this is now up to the present day I think. Holla

Oh and my van, I forgot that! I had it sprayed bright yellow so its noticeable, I've lowered it and added some lense protectors, sprayed my centre console and had a load of graffics made, they're on it now along with my plate X6 RWD. I also made some devices to hold three bikes down without moving, just by taking the front wheel off!

Been open six weeks now and is going really well! Stocking a lot more now and dealing with all the leading suppliers, bike wise i'm probably going to be stocking Kona and maybe more as time goes by. Thankyou for looking!

Ste L
The rents good for my location and the size of the unit, Its way tall enough to put another floor in. The first major change that i'm hoping I can do before winter is to put a floor covering my workshop area. I'll use the stairs that are already there and put a landing area in front of my office conecting them together. I can use the space then for more stock and displays etc.
Pricey
Yeah pop down mate i'm usually there 10am - 6pm most days nipping out around dinner for five mins! Gonna be increasing my stock slowly, i'm not a millionaire so I can't fill the place straight away lol! Gonna try and stock everything that people want not necessarily fashion items if you know what I mean. I'll talk to you more when you pop in.

Eventually got my graffics for my van Wooo!!!! And I had an extra few made for other things, mainly my sign. ATR on its own means nothing unless you know me so I now have this up!

And here's a few of my van with the graffics on!
