so, using that theory
if i have 150kg's of stuff in my car, i will add 75bhp 
weight is not relative to power at all
weight is relative to acceration

No, if you remove 150kg Warren.
What he means, is;
"Does removing 2kg of weight have the same affect as gaining 1bhp?"
So, 20kg less is like a 10bhp gain.

Of course its not true.
I think there's definately a relationship between weight and performance, but you're oversimplifying it a bit far there.

It would totally depend on the weight of the vehicle.
Removing 2kg from an oil tanker isn't going to make it feel like it's got 1bhp more, but removing 2kg from a go kart would have a definite effect.
Less weight = better power to weight ratio, but it's not as simple as 1bhp = -2kg.
The theory is right, the figures aren't, they just can't be for every vehicle.

So there will be a formula out there to work it out wether the car weighs 500kg or 5000kg.

Well if you had a 450bhp let powered corsa weighing 950 kilos you would have a power to weight ratio of 473.68 bhp/ton.
if you lost 2 kilos (948 kilos) you would have a power to weight ratio of 474.68 bhp/ton
So yes 2kgs could be equal to 1 BHP (per ton) however it dcoesnt follow that 20kgs would be 10 bhp as 930 kilos would be 483.87 (10.19bhp)
however with a 950kg gsi with 109 bhp to get 1 bhp you would have to loose over 8 kilos to see your 1bhp (per ton)

you would need to run a car and see what 1/4 mile time it got.
strip it and see what 1/4 mile it gets
refit interior and then "tune" to see how much bhp you would need to match the stripped quarter mile time.

Per tonne yes.
I am looking into buying a Suzuki GSXR 600 which has about 105-110bhp which isnt that much. but when it only weighs 160 kgs it is a hell of a lot. works out to be around 660bhp per tonne.

Dont forget there is a big difference between sprung weight and un-sprung weight.
