Try this:

---------------------
Even for users with Admin privileges, new processes don't automatically start with those privileges, and the BT installer may not be smart enough to ask for privilege elevation. Right-click the installer .EXE/.MSI/.whatever and select "Run as administrator".

On the CD, don't auto run go to the D:\, G:\ or whatever your CD drive is and find the installer .exe/.msi. It's the setup file that starts off the whole install process. Should find it pretty easy.

Why do you need to install any drivers on the laptop at all?

Can you not just connect to the network?
