hi,
ive got a slight problem with my c16xe, the battery keeps running flat, there is a buzzing noise coming from the 2 pipes near the fuel rail, to the left of the coolant tank. it only buzz`z when the battery is connected. even when the power is off it still buzz`z this is causing the battery to run flat. also every so often the engine managment light comes on.
the engine itself it running spot on.
has anyone got any ideas what the problem could be..? thanks! matt

check all your earths and wiring.
anything loose will make your battery run flat

i had a buzzing noise and it was an earth on the alternater. just tightened it and it was fine.
check the earths on th alternater

dont know on that engine but on my XE they were just on the top of my alternater.

i cant find the earth on my c16xe alternator, anyone know were it is?

should be a strip of metal belt or a thick wire going from the alternator top to your engine block.

nope thats fine.. ive tried everything now but the noise just wont stop. and i cant use the car because the battery keeps running flat. any more suggestions...
its coming from the right fuel pipe next to the coolant tank. only makes the noise when the battery is connected... strange!!

found the problem, it was a fuel relay wasnt turning off so ihave ordered another one. thanks for your help!
