Got a new pump from vauxhall as mine has packed up,removed the elec plug socket and was like hmm do i need to remove the washer bottle

you can remove the bottle but the pump should just pull out, should see a gauze in the bottle, give it a gentle clean, replace the gauze and push new pump in and recconnect

no it should just pull out and the new one just pushes back in

make sure the rubber plug is clean.

Before you go and fit the new one, take the old one out and bang it with a hammer Worked a treat with ours.
You need to remove the washer bottle from the car to drain the fluid (either that or turn the whole car upside-down, whichever is easier for you )
