took it back the day and said it will be looked at by an engineer on WED so i have no tv over the weekend we are going back tomorrow to kick up shit the tv was bought from comet and is only 3 weeks old do i have any rights to get a new one and not just a repaired jobbie after 3 weeks
or should i ask for my money back and go elsewhere?

have a look in dixons/argos and the likes and see if you can pick it up for similar cash, if so, ask for your money back and go somewhere else.
If not, then it should be covered for month/30 days by the store (99% on this) so should beable to get them to replace it there and then.

iirc you need to get an engineer out but within 28 days from purchase you should be issued with a brand new one...
