it's faded paint. try using t-cut on it or any cutting compounds. you may need to get it resprayed though.

I've more or less finished now and I'm sort of happy with it.

Passenger side has come off perfectly, no paint fade and T-cut has brought it out nicely, Where as the driver side has a huge chunk of paint missing (now wet'n'dried and prepped for paint) and a huge bumpy white streak across it

is it costly to get done at a bodyshop?

carnt just paint the stripe you see, they will have to put a blend into your wing and rear quater to make it look right. Near enough a full side respray. Should of come out with the t-cut or if you can get hold of a machine polisher and some g3. Ive heard of some dodgy places.......painting the car. Fitting the bump strip then mopping the car after strips been fitted......but ive only heard that when the cars been repaired...not from factory.

I've tried colour restorer and the red bottled T-cut and it hasn't done anything after 3-4 hard going overs. I tried almost everything to get the glue off, from petrol to brake fluid and the best thing:

Sticky stuff remover from do it all. It just ate through it but it took a couple of hrs to take it off.

Haw much do you reckon to do the job + colour coding the arches and door handles and rear bumper?
