Also 130 goals in 360 games isn't bad at all.

absolutley gutting, a legend for united and its a shame he's been troubled with injury, would have been good to see him for one last season

For £1.5 million? and especially for a guy that has never had a run of 15/20 starts!

Surely they'll need to buy a striker now?

Larsson on loan?

Realistically i think Anelka might be on top of the list and the noises Diouf and Lee were making during the week it was if there was a kind of inevitability about him leaving!

was thinking that myself, we have 3

although it may mean anderson will play more as a forward

if we can keep saha fit we should be alright,

Anelka would be a good shout. Attitude problem but he knows where the net is.

He is also a different type of player to Rooney and Tevez.

I'm off work for a few days so only just got up.

This is the first I've heard.

Gutted. I knew he'd retire at the end of the season but I wasn't expecting this. I thought it was just a minor knock he was carrying after he had the clean up surgery.

I hope he gets a testimonial

Berb wont leave until next summer now, and only then if Spurs dont finish in the top 4.

Well its fairly obvious TBH. He would of left now if he wasnt waiting to see if they finished in the CL this season, so unless Spurs are well well well off the pace come Jan I doubt he'd pipe up and want to leave then.

he'd of come out earlier in the transfer window if he was serious about leaving this summer though. I doubt he has only just come to a decision he MAY want to leave in the future.

Anybody see the clip of Ole walking in to the airport and the guy sat down gasping as he looked up

Edit - Confirmed by club that hes staying on as a coach.
