It doesn't matter Chris, do them however you want, I'd say 30 degrees would be about right though.

Was told buy one of clients its actually illegal to make them now and they should be bought. Safety approved, sounds like a money making scam to me
you just need to legs the same length nit of 4x2 across the top couple bits across bottom of legs for stability
bit at bottom between legs and a couple angles to hold it
not hard to do

That's probably the case if you're working as a professional joiner, on sites and stuff, but I can't see how they're illegal for personal use

yeah didnt explain myself very well. i just heard that they are making it law that sites must have proper tressels to do with health and safety. Dont no if its true

good ones are yes; plus its all plastic/extruded alloy now - my grandad was a carpenter/joiner and cabinet maker [Yes there is a distincton]. He gave me his saw horses which are 60+ years old, they're solid as a rock and I can stand on them unlike 'cheaper, more modern' alternatives.
I have three and use them all the time now with renovating the house
