Hi Peeps.
Tested out my K&N air filter i got given today, and i can honestly say, i prefer my max power one.. nicer sound to it for sure, and get slightly more torque from the max power one.. the K&N filter is dirty as hell (i got it given to me from some guy's garage) and figure it may just need a damn good clean.
I dont have any filter cleaning products, and have literally no money (i just wasted the last of my penny's on a cold air feed) was wondering if anyone could suggest a good way of cleaning a filter without decent cleaning products?
Cheers.
Rich.

My K+N didnt make too much noise either, but i liked it. Id get the proper cleaning oil or wotever it is as ive hearc you can wreck them if you dont, although some1 off here is bound to have a cheaper DIY method lol

Buy the propper K&N cleaning spray and dirt repellant agent for £10 from halfords.
According to the cleaning instructions using an airline will damage the filter.

thats basically what i thought at the idea of it, but it feels nicer. But, if you saw how unpleasantly dirty this filter was.. you would understand.. lol
Will it not feck it up utterly if i use fairy liquid?... and do i need to spray it with oil after?
